The Learning and Skills Council's Train to Gain service provides impartial, independent advice on training to businesses across England. It can help businesses improve their productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that employees have the right skills to do the best job.

There are currently over 150 colleges and training providers across the Eastern Region, who are contracted to provide training for these employees.

Over the next three years the government will be investing over £1 billion in the Train to Gain service nationally. In the Eastern region, this means we will need to work with over 50,000 employers and train around 204,000 of their employees. If we are to achieve these numbers, we will need to recruit many more NVQ assessors and trainers.
